Bon Jovi Scheduled to Rock the Stampede
June 1st, 2007 posted by WeekendWarriorJon Bon Jovi and crew will be rocking the Saddledome during this year’s Calgary Stampede on July 11.
Their latest chart topping single was Who Says You Can’t Go Home, a duet with Jennifer Nettles which climbed the U.S. country charts. The song recently won them their first Grammy; they were previously nominated for two other songs but didn’t win.
The group originates from New Jersey and began topping the charts with their hard rock musical blend back in the 1980s. They have sold over 120 million records worldwide.
Their next album, Lost Highway, is scheduled for release June 19.
After a brief hiatus, during which Jon Bon Jovi tried his hand at acting and purchased an arena football team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the rocker is back to his roots and his voice. The years haven’t changed him or his band. The time off has been capped with new records, new songs, and the same great style.
Tickets are already on sale, ranging from $89 to $169. Entrance to the Stampede grounds is included in the ticket price.
You can expect to hear some of the good old faithful tunes that made them big in the 80s, mixed with their newer content. No matter which songs they play, expect to be singing right along with them and rocking your heart out. CD’s are good, but nothing beats Bon Jovi live! www.bonjovi.com
