Calgary Flames 2-1 over Red Wings

The Calgary Flames won 2-1 over the Detroit Red Wings at the Pengrowth Saddledome. This is the first victory of the last four games. Yahooooo!


Same as in the previous game Daymond Langkow scored early in the first period. At 1:47 he score when Calgary played with a man advantage. Langkow picked up the rebound in front of the net and score the backhanded goal.

Pavel Daysyuk from the Red Wings made the score even at 1:27 in the second period. And at end of the second period (on a powerplay) Kristian Huselius scored his 31st goal this season.

Right now Calgary has 86 points (6 points in front of Colorado) and this victory increases Flames chances to make into playoffs.

Next game; Calgary Flames playing with Western Conference leading team Nashville Predators on March 22 at 7:00 p.m.
