Flames lost to Oilers but secured the playoff spot.

The Calgary Flames stopped playing in full strength approximately in the middle of the second period yesterday night after the announcement that there was a Nashville 4-2 victory over Colorado. Therefore the Flames lost to the Oilers 3:2.

You probably noticed this as well, if you watched this game. Winning 2:0 until minute 14 in the second period and then letting the Edmonton Oilers score 3 goals in a row. I don’t believe this would happen if the playoff spot were still on the line.

It is not just my opinion. According to Yahoo post game commentary:

“Flames captain Jarome Iginla said after the game that the urgency in his team’s play dropped off halfway through the game with the Oilers finishing the game with three unanswered goals to take the victory.”

Today’s game with the Colorado Avalanche will be completely meaningless, I don’t even know if it is worth it to watch. I am probably not going to.

So YES, the Calgary Flames secured the final playoff spot in the Western Conference; Calgary is in eighth spot with 96 points. The Flames will play with the Detroit Red Wings in the opening round next week. GO FLAMES GO!!!

Hey man do you know we lost to Colorado 6-3 yesterday.
Why you stop making videos? It is nice to see some old games.

Yes, I know. The game was meaningless, so I didn’t watch it. Regarding the videos I decide to make only the wining games. Don’t really have motivation to make videos about lost games.
