Flames Lost to Wings in Game Two

The Red Wings take a 2-0 series lead after a 3-1 win today in Detroit. The Calgary Flames had five penalties in the first 10 minutes and allowed Detroit to score 2 goals in the first 4 minutes of the game.

I didn’t see a big difference between the first and second games in Detroit. In both games the Flames played very bad without putting their hearts in the game. It seems like they don’t even want to win.

The only hope that we have left is that the Calgary Flames will play at the Saddledome for the next two games where the Flames play their best hockey and have won 30 games in the regular NHL season.

Once again the Red Wings out shot the Flames by a difference of 51-15 and have a total of 97-35 in the first two games.

Pavel Datsyuk, Nicklas Lidstrom scored for Detroit in first period and Valtteri Filppula beat Miikka Kiprusoff one more time in the third. Dion Phaneuf scored a lone power-play goal early in the second period for the Flames.

According to the Yahoo game recap Calgary coach Jim Playfair said:

“Our game plan was to be more disciplined and be harder on the puck and not take unnecessary penalties, obviously, that was a problem.”

Well, I don’t know how but Jim has to force the Calgary Flames players to stick to the plan and be more disciplined, otherwise the next 2 games will be our last games to watch in this season.

GO FLAMES GO!!!
