Calgary Sun and Salsa Festival

As this year’s festivities get hotter along with the summer weather. The Sun and Salsa Festival is no exception to hot stuff. With the festival set to begin on July 22nd, 2007 , this year has a host of features that can take the hottest activities during the hottest time of the year, (summer) and give you a treat the whole family can enjoy.

The entertainment that goes along with the Sun and Salsa Festival at Calgary’s own Kensington Village is no exception. Just grab a bottle of water if you can’t handle the hot weather (like some of us) and the taste hot food that will be sure to tempt your taste buds and let your feet explore the wonderful attractions that are for sure to happen rain or shine.

Along with the festival, festival goer’s will also be able to try some of the hottest salsa in there tasting contest. All you have to do is purchase a bag of chips for a mere 3 bucks from the LEAD Foundation and prepare for some good tasting. At the crossroads of Kensington Road and NorthWest 10th Street, Latin music of all sorts will fill the streets as dance is inspired for entertainment to the latin sounds.

Now let’s not forget about The 3rd Annual Miss Kensington Miss Sun And Salsa Pageant that will for sure give the teenagers a taste of what’s hot and what’s not in fashion this year. From the latest fashionwear and swimsuits that top designers eyes, to the latest sundress outfits that seem to be a popular item in the summer time.

With all the great sponsors that put there reputation on the line to make the Sun And Salsa Festival a hit, we must also look at the main sponsors that endure in the hard work and determination to make this annual one to never forget.

This year’s lead focus on the event is coordinated by The LEAD Foundation and the AGAPE Hospice which are magnificent organizations that give more than their share to this extraordinary event. Focusing on Family Programs, activity based and developmentally appropriateness intends the LEAD Foundation as a whole inviting for the AGAPE Hospice.

Last but not least, we have to have a place for the kids. Yes you know the little rugrats that make a mess each time you clean it up. There is a place for them also at the Sun And Salsa Festival at the Children’s Carnival. Let the kid out in us all as we play all the games that Calgary’s own Sun And Salsa Festival has to present at the Children’s Carnival.
