As many of you know the Calgary Stampede plays host to many exciting fun filled events for the whole family on a year round basis. However, some individuals think that the grounds of the stampede need a new facelift. This means that there will be jobs created and alot of work to be performed on the Calgary stomping ground. Backed by the federal government and local authorities, the Calgary Stampede will be receiving a whopping settlement for these upgrades. $53 million to be exact.

When it comes to expansion, it just doesn’t happen overnight. With the months and years that it has taken to plan these events, timing played a beneficial part in the expansion. Many Calgarians are moreorless proud that the city would have planned this timely event instead of seeing the wonderful land that houses the Stampede go to a waste. Frankly, the earth is precious in many methodical ways. However, the land that the Stampede resides on is as precious to Calgarians than there own front yards. The landscape is going to get a massive facelift that will takes months or even years to complete.

The project code named the Western Legacy Project has taken a tremendous step into saving land that was once priceless, will be revitalized with the relocation of the Indian Village along with the restoration of obscure land in the Elbow River Valley area to create an inner city park. Along with these timely upgrades will feature a casino, hotels, an agriculture pavilion, and also retail outlets along the famed Main street which also is waiting it’s turn amend.

No, you don’t have to worry. The year round attractions are still going to be held at the Calgary Stampede despite the construction woes that lie ahead. Overall, the grounds are being uplifted to meet the supply and demand that has quietly been in the eyes of Calgarians wondering what was going to happen to the prominent land that has so much potential. As the plot thickens, so will the work it will take to make the grounds the Stampede relies on every year for promising activities that cater fun, excitement, and most of all, history.
