Calgary Flames 2 - Dallas Stars 4

Thursday, March 15th, 2007 posted by SkGold

Mike Modano, Junior Lessard, Niklas Hagman, and Jere Lehtinen scored for Dallas and generated the 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames today, Thursday March 16, 2007

The Flames have the NHL’s best home record but must really do something about the away games. Only nine wins on the road this season (9-18-8).

Jamie McLennan played tonight and let Miikka Kiprusoff rest a bit, as Miikka was rested only seven games this season. McLennan made 23 saves.

10 minutes into the first period the Flames played with one man short and had a total of 30 penalty minutes in the whole match. Some fans are talking about bad officiating in the game.

Alex Tanguay and Matthew Lombardi scored for the Flames.

This game was transmitted only on a PPV channel, so you may take a look at the game statistics and some game Video Highlights here.

The Flames return to Calgary to take on the Minnesota Wild this Saturday, March 17th, at 7:00 p.m.

Calgary Flames lost to Colorado Avalanche 2:3

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007 posted by SkGold

Calgary Flames lost again, away from the Saddledome. The Flames have the second worst (after the Los Angeles Kings) road record in the Western Conference (9-16-8).

There are only 12 games left for both teams and Calorado is eight points behind Calgary.

Jarome Iginla and Stephane Yelle scored for Calgary. Both scored in the second period and both scored during a Calgary power-play. Iginla scored his 34th of the season.

As usual Miikka Kiprusoff was brilliant and stopped 42 shots on goal.

St. Louis Blues 4 - Calgary Flames 5

Monday, March 12th, 2007 posted by SkGold

Well, the Calgary Flames scared all their fans tonight. Winning 4:2 in the third period then giving up 2 goals and once again getting a penalty in overtime. Lucky for the Flames everything is done and most importantly that it finished in favour of the Flames.

Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay scored in the shootout, but I would say Kiprusoff won this game. 5-4 over the St. Louis Blues and Calgary got 2 points.

The Blues had a power play in overtime and overshot the Flames 6-0, but they couldn’t do anything against Kiprusoff. Kiprrr was as a rock.
