Museum Offers Calgarians Another View On Evolution

Darwinism, the science of evolution where only the fittest survive to continue the species, is being countered by a museum on Creationalism.

The Big Valley Creation Science Museum will officially open its door in June across from the Canadian Railway Hall of Fame. No religious objects, such as crosses, altars, Bibles, etc, decorate the professional exhibits. It’s all science based - just as Darwinism is science based.

“This is a scientific museum,” describes Harry Nibourg. “This is compelling evidence for a Creator. We’re not trying to force this on anybody. We want people to come take a look at it for themselves and make up their own minds.”

Student Film: Censored and Banned

Censorship is the result of someone with the power to pull the plug not liking a particular subject. The Calgary Catholic School District has deemed a student’s film on suicide as “unsuitable” and pulled the carpet out from under the student filmmaker.

Suicide is a difficult topic; one that gets hushed up quick even when tackled by adults.

This time, 12th grade Brendan Prost and over 30 Bishop Grandin High School students worked to create the story behind an unknown suicide and then flashes back. (more…)

Mount Royal College can now offer University Degrees.

On Thursday, March 15th, 2007 Alberta Advanced Education Minister Doug Horner made the announcement that Mount Royal College has been approved to offer a University degree program.

Mount Royal College MRC will be giving a Bachelor of Nursing degree and will start the new program in September. As a result of this approval, application deadline for the program has been extended until April 15th.

The program is allowed to take 330 students in first year, but could grow up to 980 students in next 4 years.

Several Calgary News Medias have covered this announcement in their publications. Some of them are the Calgary Herald newspaper, CTV and radio station AM 770 CHQR.

This first Bachelor of Nursing University degree program is creating the possibility of Mount Royal College becoming an undergraduate university in near future.
