Calgary Heat Wave

Saturday was the hottest day Calgary has seen so far this year.  I understand that the thermometer peaked at 30 degrees!  But it seemed so much hotter to everyone, especially those who were walking around Stampede Park. The sun beamed off of the pavement making it feel like walking on the surface of the sun.

Calgary EMS, Stuart Brideaux said that the UV rays are the highest between 10 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon.  He said that this is the hottest part of the day. I am sure that everyone in Stampede Park can agree. (more…)

Weather warning in Calgary again

Once again we have a Snowfall Warning in the Calgary area. It is raining right now, but expect to see wet snow tomorrow morning. From 10 to 15 centimeters of snow has been predicted for the next 24 hours.

Did you notice that the weather is playing some kind of game with us? All these crazy weather conditions are happening during the week and at the end we have pretty good weekends. I am actually okay with it, as long as the weekends are nice.

Snowfall Warning in Calgary

The weather in Calgary is always bringing us surprises. It was nice, sunny and warm today, but now we have Snowfall Warning.

Cloudiness will increase near midnight. The temperature is going to drop to low –1. Snow is expected to start close to sunrise and will likely be wet and very heavy. We can expect from 5 to 15 cm of snow tomorrow, Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Be prepared for crazy driving and huge traffic tomorrow morning. Try to leave your home earlier so you will not be late for work.
