Calgary Flames 3-2 over Vancouver Canucks
March 31st, 2007 posted by SkGoldThe Calgary Flames won their sixth game in a row with a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. This win is keeping Calgary seven points ahead of the Colorado Avalanche for the final-eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference.
It was a great first and second period for the Flames. Daymond Langkow scored the first goal at 4:07 of the first period after a terrific pass by Kristian Huselius. Only 1:31 into the second period Langkow set up Craig Conroy for an empty net short-handed goal. And 2 minutes later Kristian Huselius made it 3-0 on a power play after picking up Iginla’s rebound.
Take a look at the video highlights:
Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 32 out of 34 Vancouver shots. He allowed two goals in the third period and this scared the Flames fans for a bit.
