Well, it was a great game. Both teams were flying.

Unfortunately Flames lost 3:2

Huselius didn’t have his best game. Iginla didn’t score. But Miikka Kiprusoff, as usual, was perfect. He stopped 30 shots on goal.

First Period - Tampa Bay 1 - Calgary Flames 0
Conroy, Iginla and Tanguay applied good pressure early in the first period but couldn’t do anything against the Tampa goalie Marc Denis. At 18:25 Nick Tarnasky slid the puck through Kiprusoff’s pads after Dion Phaneuf tried to clear the puck in front of Kiprusoff.

Second Period - Tampa Bay 1 - Calgary Flames 1
Flames tied the game in the second period when Jeff Friesen beats Denis with a great shot over the Lightning goalie glove. Friesen got a long pass from Rhett Warrener and went in on a two on one with Stephane Yelle.

Third Period - Tampa Bay 2 - Calgary Flames 2
At 4:26 of the third period Conroy put the Flames ahead and just 2 minutes later Lecavalier made the score even.

Over Time - Tampa Bay 3 - Calgary Flames 2
Daymond Langkow gets called for hooking at the same time as Roman Hamrlik gets called for high sticking which creates 5 on 3 powerplay. Tampa Bay Lightning made no mistakes. Vincent Lecavalier flicked the puck across the goalmouth to Boyle, who tapped it into the empty net.
